Spring Shoots & Green Peas the Wordsworths & their kitchen garden. |
Dorothy Wordsworth's engaging Grasmere Journal often incorporates a garden diary, this is especially true during the Wordsworths' first summer at Dove Cottage. Most entries concern the elaborate growing of garden peas 'in succession', which was to become a demanding but rewarding process. My post for the The Romanticism blog is rather different from the usual garden and poetry piece.
